WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT?
How the area will look right after treatment varies from person to person. You may have some redness and swelling around the hair follicles straight after.
In the following weeks you will notice less hair growth as you progress through the course of your treatments. Your treatment provider will give you aftercare guidelines, especially pertaining to sun exposure.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Thanks to BLEND X technology, you should need fewer sessions than with a treatment using just a single laser wavelength. It blends two wavelengths to harness their power and unique properties- and achieve better results. Also, a single laser may not be suitable for everyone.
Lasers are effective when hair is at an early growth stage. Because not all hairs will be at the same stage at the same time, you’ll need multiple treatments to permanently remove the unwanted hair. Your practitioner will advise you on the number required.
SPLENDOR X BEFORE AND AFTER
PREPARING FOR A LASER TREATMENT
- Avoid waxing, tweezing, and similar hair removal techniques that remove the entire hair, including the root, for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment. Lasers target pigment within the follicle, so it must be intact and undisturbed for optimal effectiveness.
- Shave! Unlike waxing, this does not disturb the hair follicles. Therefore, you can shave as often as needed before a laser session. The goal is for laser energy to reach pigment in the follicle. If hairs are long, some of it will be absorbed by the hair shaft, which can overheat the skin surface.
- Avoid sun exposure in the weeks leading up to your appointment as well as after, and avoid tanner or lotions on the day of your treatment.
- Avoid certain medications and supplements – Over-the-counter NSAID pain medications, some dietary supplements, prescription blood thinners, and other substances can increase the risk of inflammation. During your consultation, it is important to tell your clinician about any medicines or supplements you take.

HOW DOES SPLENDOR X VEIN REMOVAL WORK?
The energy emitted by the Splendor X™ is selectively absorbed by the red blood cells or hemoglobin in the blood vessel. The heat energy from the laser essentially damages the broken blood vessel so that your body stops using it. The blood diverts to other, healthier veins.
Once the laser has damaged the vein, it gets broken down and reabsorbed into the body by surrounding tissue. Thus, it is no longer visible.
